You were asleep in your room on the Milano until the call of nature woke you up. You sighed as you sluggishly got out of your warm, cozy bed wearing your (fav. color) pajamas and headed to the bathroom. After that you were on your way back to your room, you saw Peter Quill sitting at the controls keeping an eye out for any threats while he had his headphones on. Then you noticed Rocket sitting at the table with a deeply troubled look on his face. He held his head in his hands then crossed his arms and rested his head on them.
You harbored a crush on the raccoon since the first day you met him. He was funny, clever, and overall awesome. In your mind it would never happen because one you were a human and he was a raccoon, and two you were on the chubby side. Of course you can kick butt just as good as everybody else and you know how to work almost any weapon you can find. Your only advantage for having a plush figure was that your opponents would easily underestimate you until you catch them off guard with a surprise attack. Still it did bother you to have a body like this every now and then. Sometimes you'd secretly wish you had Gamora's figure. You and the guardians got along pretty well; you and Gamora would have some girl time to yourselves, you and Peter shared the same taste in music, Drax would chat with you from time to time, Groot was a sweetheart to you, and Rocket actually enjoyed your company including your abilities in combat.
You continued to look at the raccoon as he rested his head on his forearms. You took a deep breath and made your way toward Rocket.
"Hey Rocket," you said.
He lifted his head up and looked up at you, "Hey ______."
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine," the raccoon mumbled.
You said as you took a seat next to the raccoon, "Come on what is it?"
"It's nothing." Right away you could tell he was lying and something was bothering him.
"Rocket, you're not fooling me," you said leaning in a little.
"I said it's nothing," Rocket said he turned himself away trying to avoid you meeting his gaze.
You stood up, "Ok fine, you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to, if you need me I'll be going back to bed."
You were about to leave the room when Rocket finally spoke, "______ wait."
You turned around when he said your name and you can see he had an anxious expression on his face.
Rocket took in a deep breath, "I'll tell you but could we talk somewhere more private?"
"Sure, whatever makes you comfortable," you replied.
"Let's go then," Rocket got up from his seat and began walking toward his room.
You followed in after the raccoon, his room had tools and several scrap parts of the floor. He sat down on his bed and you took the available space next to him. A moment of silence fell on both of you as you two sat in the dimly lit chamber.
"So, what is it?" You asked as you shifted.
"Well, I had a nightmare, no, more like memories of the experiments I went through years ago, tearing my body apart, putting it back together, again and again and again... I-it just won't stop," his body shuddered.
Your mind went to the time when you and the guardians were in Knowhere, when you, Rocket, Groot, and Drax were hanging out at the bar to pass the time until The Collector was ready to meet with them. Sometime later Drax and Groot got into a fist fight and Rocket pulled out his gun ready to blast Drax into oblivion. Peter got in between them trying to defuse the situation.
'He thinks I'm some stupid thing! He does! Well I didn't ask to be made! I didn't ask to be torn apart and put back together over and over and turned into some little monster!'
Those words tore your heart out, you wanted to pick him up, hold him, and make it all ok. You even remembered the first time you saw the cybernetic implants on his back. They looked absolutely painful to look at. You could only imagine the slightest fraction of the pain and horrors of what he went through. Whatever he went through, it never changed your mind on what you thought of him.
"They made me into a freak," Rocket said bitterly.
"Rocket you're not a freak," you said softly.
"Tell me have you ever seen anything like me? I would be called 'vermin' or 'rodent' they take one look at me and they think I'm a monster," Rocket growled.
"Well how do you think I feel about my appearance? I mean look at me I'm huge and guess what? It does bother me but I try not to let it bring me down," You said with tears almost welling up.
Rocket didn't reply but you continued to speak, "You were never a freak or a monster to me, you'll always be Rocket."
Rocket stared at you then down at the floor and wrapped his tail around himself, "I just wish I could forget all those times before..."
You scooted yourself closer to him and gently pulled him into your lap. He struggled at first but as soon as he was wrapped in your arms he settled in with his head resting on your chest. You had one arm around his smaller body while your other hand was caressing the top of his head. You placed a small kiss on his head and inhaled his scent. Both of you sat in this position for a few minutes until the silence was broken by the raccoon's voice.
"______?" Rocket whispered.
"Hmm?" You replied.
"Thanks."
You smiled, "Anytime Rocket, anytime."
Rocket paused for a moment, "For the record, I think you're beautiful."
You blushed, "Wow, thanks but you didn't have to say that."
Rocket shifted in your lap in order to look you into your eyes, "No really mean it, you never gave me any crap about what I am and you are pretty amazing."
Your face blushed harder as a smile grew across your face. You slowly wrapped your arms around the raccoon again only into a hug. Rocket wrapped his arms around your plush figure returning the hug. You both sat like that for a couple minutes until you released the raccoon from your embrace.
Rocket slid off your lap and lied down onto his bed. Before you could get up you felt something grab the end of your shirt. You turned your head and saw Rocket's hand lightly gripping your shirt while he looked up at you with those dark brown eyes.
"Could you stay a bit longer?" Rocket mumbled.
You smiled and sat back down on the bed. Rocket lets go of your shirt and shifts around to get into a comfortable position on his stomach. Everything went quiet for a while as you watched Rocket's form. You were starting to get a bit sleepy yourself and you let out a yawn.
"Hey ______, do you want to go do something tomorrow?"
"Sure," you replied.
"One more thing," Rocket lifted himself up a bit, "If you tell anyone especially Groot, I swear I'll-."
You cut him off, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," you yawned, "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," the raccoon yawned.
Early the next morning, you woke up with something soft pressed against your face. At first you thought it was your pillow until you noticed it felt unusually warm. You opened your eyes and saw Rocket's sleeping face against yours. It only took you a moment to realize that you've fallen asleep in Rocket's room sometime last night. You thought about quietly making your way out without waking him up but this felt nice. Rocket shifted a bit causing his nose to come into contact with your nose causing you to blush many shades of red all at once. Before you could do anything Rocket grumbled and slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a couple of times and then his eyes shoot wide. You and Rocket pulled away and sat up in bed. Your face was more red than ever while Rocket was thankful for the fur that was hiding the blush on his face. You two sat there in awkward silence for what seemed like forever until you spoke.
"Umm...Morning," you sheepishly said.
"Morning," Rocket replied, "Did you fall asleep here last night?"
"Yeah, I guess I did," you said.
"That explains it," Rocket chuckled.
"Maybe I should go before anyone...," you trailed off a bit.
"That might be a good idea," Rocket said.
"Ok, see you later," you smiled as you got out of his bed and made your way toward the door.
"Bye," Rocket said with a smile.

Groot X Reader X Rocket
Groot smiled softly down at you, watching as you made a little present for him. Noticing that he was, again, breaking the rule you set, you patted the behemoth on the arm from where you sat.
You were on Groot's lap currently, one leg placed on either side of his own. To anyone else the scene would have been rather suggestive, but the two of you were merely showing to whom your affections were for.
"Groot, I told you. No peeking." You giggled, reaching up to close his eyes. He smiled a bit wider. You continued to weave the thing in your hands, making sure it was nice and tight before giving it to your lover.

GOTG - To the Moon (Rocket x Reader)
It was nighttime at the Milano and everyone was asleep. You laid on your bed reading a book with the help of a small lamp which hung above your head. The whole ship was silent, no men arguing like little children. It was only you and your book. For a little while at least.
Soon you heard small steps coming towards you. “You still awake (y/n)?” asked a familiar voice a little bit unsure. You often slept with your light on, so it was a really good question.
“Yes, I’m up.” you called with a warm smile on your face as you saw Rocket. He was more than a friend to you. The both of you loved each other and everyone at
